Five people were killed and 13 wounded by exploding a bomb in a restaurant in Sadr City, a Shiite neighborhood of Baghdad, sources said Wednesday the ministries of Interior and Defense.
The explosion occurred at 09H30 (06H30 GMT), at a time when many customers were in the restaurant, according to these sources.
Several attacks that left 28 dead and nearly 100 wounded, hit in recent days the Shia community, which celebrated on the night of Tuesday in Karbala, south of Baghdad, the birth in 869 of Mohammed al-Mahdi, the 12th and the last magnet. The Shiites, who represent the majority of Iraqis believe that reappears on the day of Judgement.
